Privacy Policy

This page explains what Filevert collects, why, and for how long. Short version: we process files only to convert them, we delete them within 1 hour, we don't sell or share data, and we use anonymous product analytics to improve the bot.
What we collect
- Files you send β stored temporarily to perform the conversion you request.
- Telegram user ID β required to keep the conversation threaded and to track usage limits; we don't store your Telegram username, name, or phone.
- Language preference β to respond in your chosen language.
- Anonymous product events β which action was run, input/output formats, file size, error codes, token transactions. Keyed to your Telegram user ID, never to file content.
- Payment records β Telegram Stars order IDs and token pack purchased, kept as required by Telegram's payment rules.
How long we keep it
- Files: up to 1 hour after conversion, then automatically deleted by a cleanup job.
- Analytics events: up to 12 months, then aggregated or deleted.
- Payment records: kept as long as required by tax and Telegram's rules.
- Your account (Telegram ID + preferences): kept while you use the bot; removed within 30 days of your last interaction on request.
Who else sees your data
We use a small set of processors to run the service:
- Telegram β to deliver your files to us and results back to you.
- PostHog (EU hosting) β anonymous product analytics. No file content ever leaves our servers to PostHog.
- OpenAI β when you describe a conversion in natural language, we send the text prompt only (not the file) to OpenAI to parse it into operations.
- Our hosting provider β runs the servers where conversions happen.
We don't sell data, don't share it with advertisers, and don't use it for any purpose beyond running the service.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, export, or delete your data. Write to support@filevert.io from the email address tied to your account (if any), or message @FileVertHelpBot from the Telegram account you used with the bot. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Filevert is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has used the bot and you want their data removed, contact us.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll bump the effective date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice in the bot.
